Beckers and the LCBO... "like this" (see picture)

This weekend Monica, Gemma and Cassie all did their civic duty and journeyed to our nations capital, Ottawa. This is their story...

The road trip started off innocently enough, but quickly headed down the tubes when we decided to stop in Coburg for cheap gas. Monica recalled there being a jail that you could visit in this fair town and since we needed some lunch, decided to kill two birds. We drove around the retirement community (walkers a plenty - points galore!!) until we found the Coburg Jail which is now a pub and inn. A quick photo shoot later, decided to sit out and have lunch on the patio. Our waitress proceeded to tell us about the ghost that lives in the inn (Henry) and about their regular karaoke nights (that recently got shut down by the cops for being too rowdy - awesome!). A revisit and over-night stay is definitely in order. After lunch we headed down to the 'solitary confinement' area... more shenanigans with the camera pursued. It was pure gold down there!

Back on the road, many giggles later... we needed another pit stop. We soon found another gem of a town - Kemptville! The population we witnessed consisted of several people in the "big and beautiful" category (perhaps due to the greater than normal ratio of restaurants/grocery stores to residents). We were fortunate enough to see a party in the parking lot of Food Basics, a racy dentists office, and an LCBO cashier with glasses that had a pirate-esq patch that said 'hi' and who LOVED us. Essentially this is the place we like to call Heaven. Finally stocked up on LCBO products, a Tim Horton's cup disguise and we hit the last 45 minutes of road time with fresh travellers in hand.

It is probably worth mentioning a scary little incident that happened on the way....Monica's 'stroke'. This episode happened in the car while Gemma was sleeping....her entire left leg went numb and was difficult to wake back up. At the next stop when the sleeping Gemma awoke Monica described what happened and in genuine concern asked Gemma if she thought it was a stroke. Gemma replied: "It's your left arm, not your left leg ya daft whore!!" It must have taken 5 minutes to compose ourselves after the laughing fit that Gemma brought on.

We made it to Ottawa in the early evening on Friday and our first stop was a place called the Honest Lawyer. We chilled with a junior crowd, and Gemma and Cassie were perplexed and debating about whether the lingering smell was BO or dirty crotch? Monica eventually made the debate stop as she was gagging non-stop. Cassie ended up in a conversation with about 5 young lads while Gemma and Monica made a quick trip to the store to restock on ciggies. Upon re-entry to the bar ID's were checked again...Gemma made a comment about it not being necessary since we were much older than the crowd. The bouncer checked Gemma's ID and said "oh that's not bad", then took Monica's and when handing it back said "thank you Miss". (Perhaps he meant Mrs.Robinson...) An interesting part of this bar was the dance floor, which was half full of wheelchairs enjoying the dance party! We saw some wheelchair dirty dancing! (it really does happen!)

Our next and last stop Friday night was to a place called "Fat Tuesday's". This was much more our scene (not our crowd though), with a live band blasting out crowd loving songs, a few drinks in hand and some dancing we did. The crowd was much older, and at one point we had an older gentleman take our picture, upon handing back the camera he said we were "smoking hot". Felt like a dirty old uncle saying something innappropriate, especially since we had to ask him to repeat it several times before hearing him....the SOS'ers were polite, smiled, and turned away. Cassie then "ran into" - not stalked at all - a dude/crush she went to high school with. Found out he was engaged - so that was a dud. A dude from Barbados then tried to pick up Monica, but she told him she had a boyfriend back home, so she wasn't interested. Seconds later Monica was getting a lezzie 'come hither' stare down from a chick who at the same time was grinding her heart out with an older gentleman! Ugh. it was near this time that the SOS'ers piled into a cab and called it a night.

Saturday... feeling rough from the night before, our 3 lovely ladies didn't quite make it to the friendly 3 k at 9 in the morning, and instead, woke up, got ready, headed to the 'Bucks and enjoyed the task for finding a quiet, inconspicuous spot to pour some Kahlua in our coffee! Upon learning we had a private tour of the Mint - Cassie asked: "ah, are they going to do a bag search?". Luckily they didn't and the remaining Kahlua was saved. After that, we headed to Parliament Hill for some pervy poses with lady statues - a few boob grab poses, Kahlua in tea cup shots, and of course, a good old 5 o'clock pit-shadow shot, we headed back to our hotel. Lo and behold, while Cassie got dressed for her big 10K, Monica and Gemma had the pleasure of an elevator close-in with hot Italian groomsmen...only to start chatting with them as we got off at our floor, our luck with them was not to be had, and even our lobby stalking at 2 am looking for said groomsmen didn't turn out well. Not for lack of Cassie asking another guest if we can crash the party and then yelling: "What kind of hotel bar is this?" - In response to it being closed at 2 am. Saturday evening brought the girls to "Whisky Bar", which played enjoyable music for singing and dancing along, and was meant to be an "older crowd" as the minimum age was 21. This meant the average age was 22.....nevertheless, SOS'ers had a few cocktails, danced like no one was watching and shouted out lyrics whenever appropriate (so always).

Sunday....time for the SOS'ers to head home. After a lunch stop just outside Ottawa the roadtrip home began. While taking a slightly different route home it was determined a stop in Tweed would be a good idea.....who wouldn't think that?? It's WEED with a 'T'....and for that alone it is worth stopping. To our great pleasure we found a lovely location for 'Jail Part 2' photo shoot.....Tweed, home the smallest jail in North America (this is one of the highlights of the town, really). The SOS'ers strolled the main street for a leg stretch, grabbed some ice cream at the local parlour and then continued the journey back to Toronto. Toronto arrival was achieved in decent time, with a head full of foggy memories.....which is how all weekends should end really!

Week 7 standings

Well another week, another set of adventures… this week saw some Beckers hit the road in the direction of our nation’s capital. But we’ll save the stories for another entry. Here’s this week’s point round up:

  • We have a new leader folks! Some steady recycling has Monica landing at 138 points… her determination has paid off :) Let’s see if she can hold on to the position for another week (yes, that is a challenge – Pam, Chels, Brooke – get on it!)

  • Pamela had a quiet week on the point front (did she peak too soon?). She remains at 120 points.

  • With some steady point collection, Chelsea is nearing the triple digit zone. Rematches and recycling have this Becker at 96 points.

  • Brooke surged ahead this week with digit distro, a rematch and a HR with the coworker/crush! She’s at 82 points.

  • Gwen had some chocolate loving in a car and on the dancefloor, bringing her to 71 points. If she could remember any details about her dancefloor make-out her score would have been higher... way to SOS Gwen!

  • After some digit distribution (setting up future rematch points) and recycling with the Cripple, Cassie lands at 56 points

  • Victoria will remain at 55 points for now but I believe she was assisted this weekend so this number may go north.
  • Alex finally came clean with the details of her rematches and on base action… resulting in 12 points. Well done!

  • Gemma was a trooper this weekend putting up with Cassie and Monica trying to ‘assist’ her… while there were plenty of funny stories, no points were racked up. She remains at 8 points.

Until next time…

Cheers to Beer

Ola,
I haven't updated on Beer in a while, and having spent a couple good nights with him this week I thought it was time.
Things are good, he continues to excel in the previous posted "pro's", and I am starting to believe good guys don't finish last, they finish first!
We went to a wedding a couple weeks ago, where 2 of my friends made the lifetime commitment, and I knew several people at the wedding....he didn't know anyone. If I could award him points he would get 100 for putting up with me that night! Not only did I miss half of dinner as I was touring around the banquet facility with an old friend who works there (I used to work there too), but I was bouncing around chatting with people before dinner, and insisted on spending most of the time after dinner on the dance floor with a 9 year old who was an amazing dancer (godson of the bride) while Beer politely stood to the side smiling and bobbing. Not to worry, he was properly rewarded for being a good guy ;-)
We had a fun night on the long weekend where we ended up at the (smelly) Madison with Gemma and Chelsea, and Beer met up with a few of his friends. That night ended, as Gemma mentioned, with me snuggling in between the girls for a little bit before heading to my own bed to wake Beer up......
We spent Monday night together as well, where he (accidently I'd guess) told me his boss came up to him recently and said she heard he was dating an "older woman"......say what? OK, yes, I am 3 years older than him, but does that justify making me feel like Mrs. Robinson? (what a great song, I think I will sing that next week at karaoke, obviously!). No, he thought it was funny, and said he doesn't describe me that way, but someone he works with must have told his boss that......I have never met anyone he works with, so although he may not have described me that way to his boss he must have to someone he works with! Nevertheless, I'm going to let it slide, as Chelsea said, it is rather amusing really.
Finally last night, Chelsea came over for some after work sun, and a drink or 2. Beer joined us later, I made some dinner for the 3 of us before Chelsea scooted home and Beer and I fell asleep watching tv (ok I fell asleep while he watched tv). Let's just say a few more recyling points my way and I am working my way to the top of the charts.......look out Pam-o :-)

Boys, Braces, Beer, B.O. and Blue Trackies

Okay ladies, I’ve been commissioned to write this weekend’s blog. And by commissioned, I mean through the payment of booze, ciggs, booze...and oh god, more ciggs.

It all started, on Saturday, when I hazily went to meet Mon, Bro and his GF at the TFC game, still slightly hung over from the night before (god, that night deserves its own blog, alone). So, with no food in stomach, a raging headache and slight pangs of dizziness, I quickly realized that if I was keeping up with Mon and fam, I better hop on the Carlsburg bus pretty damn fast...and of course, i did. One beer in, Gemma’s pretty much hammed (Yeh, I referred to myself in the third person). A good TFC win, a collection of 10 Red Cards (story later) and we made our merry way to Mon’s for a full good afternoon of drinking...not before me having to take a detour, on my own off the old streetcar – (Gemma wasn’t waiting around to actually PEE her pants) to McDick’s for the bathroom, and being yelled and having the good old middle finger salute flashed in my face by a crack head homeless woman in a blue tracky – I am starting to suspect that this is a theme for the weekend given another crack whore woman the night before at TheDukeLive.com (yup, I was lured in there, and have since burned my outfit from that night) was wearing a blue tracksuit jacket, and noshing on a chicken wing in the bathroom, while knocking on stalls, popping her head in and asking her friends “Anybody want some chiackin’?”)

I finally met back up with Mon, Bro and GF. Mr. Beer and Chelsea showed up to join us in our solid drinking efforts and we continued to pour some more liquids down our watering holes on the happening back patio of a Toronto Avenue. Boys, Braces, Beer and B.O. was the theme for where we ended up later on that night...The Maddy. It’s a while since I’ve stepped foot in that dive, and I quickly realized why that was once the waft of ‘dirty croch’ smell hit my face. I can’t even describe the riff at this place, and the age demographics were quickly realized when every dude that tried to speak with us pretty much sported a full set of train tracks, or thought that bathing is an option these days. A few doozies from the evening:

Chels telling a group of Columbians “Oh, so you’ve pretty much got a full bag of cocaine with you tonight?” Which was met with a full set of death stairs of sheer unamusement.

Some douche telling Chels, “Yeh, my girlfriend’s at home but I’m out tonight hoping to cheat with a hot blonde.” This was after he tried to get the three of us to take on his ‘single, attractive friend’ who turned out to be a barely there, 5 ft troll that ended up telling us a story about dillys, threesomes and something inappropriate. To which Monica in sheer disgust, asked him if that’s the best story he’s got and we’re outta here. To him turning to his friend saying “Oh don’t worry, they’re bitches anyway.” Only then to turn around an hour later at the end of the night, to the two them “Oh hey, where’d you guys go?” Me laughing in their faces, and walking away.

Some dude asking me “What’s your story? What are looking for in a guy?” Me: “Why you wanna know? Cause you’re sure as hell not him.” Only the beginning to the icing on the cake when he tried to talk to me later again, while he sitting at table, hands rubbing his temple, getting right pissed off asking Chels “What’s wrong with your friend? Nobody’s ever turned me down like that. Like, seriously, I can’t even talk to her.” Then turns over to insult me, me laughing in his face yelling, “Is that the best you’ve got.” Pissing him off even more, and he storms off. Oh the amusement this gave me. Recalling this has answered my question as to why the dude (Curls we’ll call him – 30, Investment Banker, travelled the world, speaks two languages – nice guy but probably not by deal in daylight) I had a few twirls around the dance floor with, some kissing action and a digit swap, hasn’t made contact. Umm, it could be that the douche is his friend and I’m positive I told Curls about 6 times that night "your friend's a douche".

I was in fine form that night – sitting at a table in the walkway, throwing up Red Cards (we've got lots of copies for you ladies) at dudes as they walked by when I didn’t like either a) their hair, b) what they were wearing, or C) anything I generally disagreed with. Clearly, I’m the douche.

To end it off, instead of shutting it down at that, of course we decide to cart it on back to the safe haven that is Monica's back pats , and continued to drink until we heard the birds chirpin away...which was our cue to go to bed. Not before Mon, after tucking us in, and cuddling with us not once, twice but three times (while Beer waited on her in the bedroom - probably hoping to get some action) took a spill and bruised her boob...and maybe her ego. She has the pics to prove the hilarity, and the late night cuddles with me and Chels before closing up shop...for the morning.

Oh what a weekend! Bye for now layyydees.

Not such a Giant Loser?

Hey folks, Cassie checking in after the long weekend… and what a weekend it was! Well… not even a weekend. All the action happened on Saturday night for this Becker!

I should first mention Friday night – I went to a dinner party that my friend/personal trainer was throwing for all her clients – it was great fun, and certainly educational. There was a lot of talk of politics and post modernism (pomo for short ;))… which I had to ask to be explained to me twice (and still don’t get!). The dinner went long and I bailed on some SOS sisters. For that I am truly sorry!!

As for Saturday, I mentioned in my last post I had been texting with the Giant/Loser about meeting up but was not really sure that was going to ever happen. Interest was dwindling. However, as I headed out to meet some friends for dinner, I decided I would ‘check in’ with the GL and see what he was up to this week (an after work drink perhaps?). Turns out he was also on his way out – he was headed to the RCYC party to open the island for the summer… man I would have loved an invite to that - I love me some preppy men!

Anyways… throughout the night and after a few cocktails, a mid week drink turned in to meeting up that night. The texts got more and more flirty and I was starting to reconsider this guy. I really had lost track of time and was having too much fun to notice that it was creeping in to booty call territory!

Next thing I knew I was standing outside Bier Markt waiting for this dude while my friends danced inside. I spotted him walking down the road from a block away – this guy really is a giant! 6’7” is huge! I love it though – I was wearing some of my tallest heels and he was still leaning in to kiss me hello! We headed in to the bar, got a drink, he met my friends (who were just leaving), and then we sat down to have a drunken chat :)

We couldn’t have been talking for too long before his hand was sliding down my back to my derriere, cheeky monkey! It was not going anywhere though, as I was on the disabled list that evening (cold sore and monthly gift… double whammy). Decided to cab it home together… he dropped me off and made his way home though he did try to come up. Gotta love a tryer LOL.

I crawled in to bed to try to catch enough zzz and sober up for a 13K run the next morning, when GL started texting me some rather… suggestive/explicit messages (but thankfully not violent like Victoria’s suitor!). Not sure how I feel about a guy who is texting “honestly I want to go down on you tonight, all night” to a girl he just met! However it was extremely entertaining at the time – and Monica, Chelsea and Jemma were all up and got the live play by play over the phone :)

Long story short, once I am recovered from this dang cold sore, a rematch is definitely in store – I am intrigued.

Some of the texting gems from that night/morning:

GL

  • "where am I meeting you, your condo?

  • does your condo have a hot tub?”

  • I have stunts” (what the hell does that mean?? moves?)

Cassie

  • K so I am wearing a black dress and purple cardi. Pls save me. The guy across from me just said to his friend I want to fuck so many of these chicks. Douche. Oops wrong number!!! LOL” (to Pam instead of GL)

  • OMG I shouldn’t drink. My keys were in my bathroom cupboard” (to Monica on Sunday AM)

As for the Cripple… well we were supposed to meet up on the holiday Monday but he had an uncle turn up from out of town unexpectedly and I have this disability on my lip, so we decided to postpone. So its still on, just has cooled down a bit. I am still feeling a little bit of ‘cling’ though. I happened to mention that it’s my grandma’s 92nd birthday party in June, to which he responded “I’ll see how well I’m fairing as to whether I get an invite”… ah… NO!

Last mention – I was out for lunch on Sunday with my nieces, when my non-Becker gf who will remain unnamed walked in with her ‘night before’… LOL BUSTED! A quick chat in the bathroom later, it made my day to hear her say… “whatever, SOS right?!”. Its spreading folks!

So I think that’s me for now – check you later!

Cassie x

p.s. shout out to my visiting friend from London and her gfs N and L – you know who you are, and you best be following the blog!!! Saturday night was great fun!

Week 6 standings

It was a shocker of a week for some, topped off with a fantastic long weekend sports fans.... here's a recap of where we've all landed this week:

- Pam's still on top with 120 points! This week's action included some mid week dancefloor makeouts and digit distributions (but did she hear from the spaniard - that is the question!)

- Steam rolling ahead with loads of recycling (Beer is going to be a tired, tired guy... but as Mon says... the advantages of a younger man!)... Monica lands at 113 points. Pam better watch out!

- Another mover and shaker this week is our lovely little Chelsea with 2 mid week home runs. She's at 83 points.

- Is this the beginning of her surge? Brooke added some pointage to her tally this weekend with recycling, digit distro and a rematch with her crush! All that action lands her at 63 points.

- Gwen has been working it with two dudes... a soul singer and someone she is mysteriously referring to as Corporal Octopus (I gotta hear this story!)... these antics have her jumping to 56 points
- Victoria was all over the Karaoke trend this week, but alas no movement on the points chart. She remains at 55 points.

- Next up is yours truly, Cassie. A late night rematch and some recycling has this Becker at 40 points.

- HOLD THE PHONE - Jemma's on the board!!! This little hooker was making out at the bar on Saturday night, to earn herself a repectable 8 points! Well done Jems!

- STOP THE PRESSES - guess who else landed herself some points this week! That's right, our fair Alex was out on a date this week. Rematch points means she's at 3 points... for now

Another great week by all acounts, and it pleases this Becker to no end that all her sisters are now on the board! Until next time...

It's been too long

Hello everyone, I am still alive and kicking!!

Where do I begin?

Had a date about a month ago with the boring and impatient texter from my previous, and only, post. I started the night with some sisters at Monica's for a couple of drinks to prepare for the evening I really wasn't looking forward to. After reading most of the texts to my sisters it was unanimous that they didn't think I should go on this date. He picked me up, Monica met him on the porch and confirmed that he was cute.

I wasn't feeling very well earlier in the week, still getting over the strep I caught from the 23 year old pothead I had met the previous weekend, and made sure he knew this so if I wanted to end the night early I could play the sick card. He took me to a great little jazz bar. We talked, had a couple of drinks, I only had two to be sure I could still drive if needed to and you'll see this was a smart idea as you continue to read. As we talked I found out that he is 37 years old and spent 14 years working on a cruise ship. Because if this I figured he would have a lot of stories to tell about the world however he felt stories about himself were more interesting... not so much! He owns the home his parents live in and they live there because he was gone for so long and it was easier/made sense... so, you live at home. Along with the sick card I had also asked a friend to call me with an 'emergency' a couple hours into my date. I got this call but my friend was not very good at it so I put the word out that I was not feeling well while texting my recycle to see what he was up to for the night.

I started to dance a bit as I really like the bar and the band was fantastic! My dancing brought on some flirting from the singer of the band and if I wasn't there with 'Mr. All About Me' I would have totally tried to score some points with the singer, I have a thing for singers. While dancing my date made the comment that he couldn't help watching me while I was dancing, of course he couldn't, I can move! What he noticed while I was dancing was my jeans... okay, I was expecting a compliment on my fabulous ass but no, it was about the make of my jeans. Turns out he used to work for that particular clothing store. I didn't entertain this topic, who would?!? He brought this up four more times as we were getting ready to leave, talking about the style and how it was great working there for the discount blah, blah, blah... who hasn't worked retail at some point in their life and who the F cares!?!

He dropped me off at Monica's and I told him I was going to go home to rest as I was 'not feeling well' but did say I wanted to do it again when I was feeling better, just being polite. I hauled ass to meet up with my recycler at the bar before last call. Had a couple of drinks, smoked a joint, went to his place and got my fill!!

'Mr. All About Me' has texted again and continues to try to set up another date. The last text I received was just over a week ago, I haven't responded.

Have been having regular sessions with my recycler, about once a week. This past Friday was a wonderful session. All started with a text from him that afternoon letting me know that he was horny. This immediately brought a smile to my face as I had no plans and was quite horny myself, we hadn't met up in about a week. The texting continued for a bit and got a little dirty, my favourite text was him telling me that he was thinking, me, fishnets, mini shirt, no panties with a little reverse cowgirl... my lady parts woke up instantly and work became a second thought. He showed up at my place around 9 with some beers, dope and that amazing tongue of his... this boy can lick a vag & asshole like you wouldnt' believe!! I think the A-train is coming my way!!

Lastly, I think I have a crush... Damnit!!

He's a colleague and so much fun! Have only been talking to him for about two weeks and only at work. However this weekend we've been texting a bit. I don't want to date someone from work and the way I'm feeling I don't think I can do this just for the points.

I promise to post more often and keep you posted on the crush and that I'm likely going to recycle again tonight!!

Anonymous .....

This just in..................A couple S.O.S'ers here just enjoying a few bevies, when a neighbour pops over to ask if by chance there was a male running out of the house and through the yard at 7:30am Thursday morning desperate for a cab. Apparently, a conversation was had between neighbour and boy running from S.O.S house about desperate need for a cab. After a flat out laughing fit, the S.O.S'ers confirmed that, why yes, this was indeed a "friend" and nothing to worry about! Just yer standard weekday morning sprint!!!

Oh life as an SOS'er........

Racking Up The Points

Where to start......

Table of Contents (since I'm behind in my blogging):
1. Rocco
2. Poutini
3. The Counselor
4. Poutini Rematch

Sit back readers, enjoy the novella.......

Chapter One: Rocco
Met Rocco at the FC game along with a few of his amigo's. Monica and I joined the amigo's for a few pints, one thing led to another and Rocco and I decided to keep in touch. A few days later we hooked up for a little 'how's your father' like the little Italian stallion after which I decided he is possibly worthy of a rematch, stay tuned.

Chapter Two: Poutini
Poutini resurfaced 4 weeks after the initial introductions at Poutini's House of Poutine at 3AM when I was out for an SOS night. The communication with him was slow and sporadic, leading me to believe he has a girlfriend, and made me feel happy to have dodged that bullet. That impression changed due to some recent communication which lead us to date #1 a week ago. After several cocktails at various downtown locations we stumbled to the parking garage to gather his 'overnight bag' and waltzed ourselves into a T dot hotel. Feeling like a prostitute at 4AM in my fierce heels, we made our way to the counter to question room availability and we settled for a smoking room, because apparently at 4AM that is all that is left, and it goes for a premium rate. Got on base but kept somewhat classy by skipping any home run points. Figured he was rematch worthy and I would hold out till then. Received a text after 2 hours of sleep from Monica questioning what hotel I landed at (how did she know?). I was laughing out loud at 8AM as I didn't know where I was. Monica directed me to check the bedside table as there should be a notepad with hotel dets, and she was right. I was happy to see I was still in Toronto. I then slide back into the previous nights thong, and heels and stumbled out of the hotel. Poutini gave me a ride home, and I got myself together for a day of work.

Chapter Three: The Counselor
As Monica has mentioned in a previous post, I was part of the crew that went to Wednesday night karaoke which was a pleasant surprise because I didn't think I was going to make it out. The Counselor was perched on a speaker beside me as I was flipping through the song binder and at first glance I established he was a good looking dude that I should converse with, and perhaps a Sonny & Cher duet was in our future. There was no duet, but intense conversation began almost immediately. He felt it his mission to provide life lesson stories and advice to anyone of the SOS'ers (Monica & me) he could corner. Before I knew it the SOS'ers bailed and I was there with Counselor to close up the bar. We went for a quick bite to eat before establishing my place was close, and why not have a slumber party?! Got my points that night but absolutely no need for a rematch, that ship has sailed.

Chapter Four: Pountini Rematch
It should be noted, this pre-arranged rematch was the day after my session with The Counselor. Pountini arrived at my house with 2 bottles of nice wine in hand, like a true gentleman. I was rather excited for the evening, as our conversations are entertaining and the sexual tension is off the hook. We drank, we smoked, we drank and we smoked. After 3:30AM we tucked ourselves into bed for the home run of the week. Not sure where this is going, but I'm interested to find out....I taste a rematch in the future, just like I taste stale ciggies every morning.

I promise to post more often, I'm a committed SOS member.

Remember readers, always stock up on domers, play safe!

Pass Me The Cordless Mic Please

Hello and Happy Friday to our readers!
It's been another fun filled week in SOS land, and it has involved a couple of karaoke outings....
Let's begin with Tuesday....Pamela and I met up after work for wine at a Bay Street bar, as the 9 oz glasses were being guzzled it was obvious we were heading for some trouble that evening. We decided for a change a scene, some mixed drinks and several rounds of shots where we met Brown George Clooney before heading to our Tuesday night karaoke destination. Monica and Pamela are karaoke crowd pleasers, which is why a cordless mic is necessary to walk around the room and share the singing obligation with other patrons as well as encourage/participate in some dancing. It wasn't a full house, and Pamela's George wasn't too impressed with our performance.....we don't expect to see him again. We did end the evening by cabbing to a 24 hour restaurant in the Yonge & Bloor area for pasta meals at 1:00AM since Burrito Boys and Smoke's were both closed (I guess Tuesday is too early in the week??).
Wednesday was another night of fun. I hosted the pre-show in my backyard where Victoria, Pamela, Gwen, Chelsea, Gemma, Samatha (a non-SOS member who is absolutely lovely) and a guy friend we will call Dart all gathered. We BBQ'd, drank cocktails, did some shots, danced in the backyard, danced in the kitchen and smoked ciggies until it was determined we were primed enough to head to our karaoke destination. We piled into 2 cabs while Gemma jetted herself home as she had to be in top form for work the following day.
Upon arrival we stormed in desperate for drinks (need to keep the vocal chords moist).....we ordered 8 vodka soda's which totalled less than $30....this place will be on our regular rotation I'd say......I do believe we all made it up to the stage at least once, I know I was up for Paradise by the Dashboard light with Gwen and Dart, I however spent most of that performance with the audience, or perched on the side of the stage stealing sips from Pamela. I think Samatha declined any action on the stage, but she was a strong supporter and her attendance is always welcome! Chelsea and I did a great rendition of Dreams by Fleetwood Mac, and by great I mean Stevie Nicks would have murdered us if she had a listen....but the audience enjoyed it almost as much as we did! I scored some points that evening that can be attributed to an assist to Chelsea for her score with "the counselor"....I thought he was a bit of douche bag, but cute enough for a 1-nighter for her, so I helped seal the deal, and even delivered her car in the morning. It was parked at my house as the original plan was for her and I to cuddle the night away together.
After 2 late evenings of fun this SOS'er decided on a lower key night last night, and met a client on a patio for a few pints before popping into another bar to wish a friend a happy birthday and then nearly passing out in a cab en route home at 10:00PM. Today I'm feeling better but opting for a quiet evening of rest since I'm heading with Gemma to the FC game tomorrow, and it's an early start at 1:00PM!

Has anyone....

seen my phone? Seriously. I'm not looking for my dignity - lost that years ago. But I would really like to find my cell. There are stories from last night to re-hash, and I also gave my number to a real dishy spaniard. Should he call, I would really like to be on the other end to get that. So hopefully I can get some.

Darn shallow pockets. 'sigh' My life is so hard.

Pam

p.s. - Random awesome moment from last night was when another patron at the bar asked if the lady with the mile hile blonde beehive and loud makeup and outfit was my mother. Too cool for words.

p.s.

do you ever write a word that you've written thousands of times but somehow today it looks weird? Well I had that moment with 'Awkward' today after some texting with Monica... so I googled the word just to make sure I was spelling it right, and guess what was the first thing that came up in the search??

good for at least 5 minutes of giggles ;-)

Cassie intro, part 2

As I listen to my ipod this morning, I was inspired to blog when this little diddy came on...

"She's flirty, turned thirty... Ain't that the age a girl gets really dirty?"

The last time I left off I was planning a date with the Giant (not to be confused with Pam's Australian Giant... maybe he needs a new name? I propose Loser, reason to follow). Well, Loser texted me Sunday morning saying he was too hung over to get together and could we reschedule. Well... normally that is a no-no for this SOSer and grounds for immediate dismissal. I mean seriously? It was a mid day coffee - what did he REALLY get up to the night before?!?! Anyway, since we are in the midst of a competition, I sucked it up and agreed to the reschedule... still yet to happen, so chances are fading for this dude. (Dang, I was really hoping for the date points!)

Meanwhile I have been keeping myself entertained with the Cripple. We had a Monday night slumber party... great food, good times, and a love of southern food ;-), what more can a girl ask for!? Things did get a little awkward yesterday though when we were bantering back and forth about our next rendez-vous and he said that he told his cousins (he's English so thats the closest family he has in Canada) about me and they wanted us to come over on the holiday Monday! My response: "OMG seriously? Is this the one that thinks I'm a tramp?"

(back up a little bit - after our first date that resulted in the HR, he drove home but made a detour at his cousins for Saturday brunch. I didn't get all the details from the Cripple, but his fam could tell he had not been home since the night before and called him a dirty stop-out :)... there was more teasing involved, but his other cousin apparently put a stop to it by saying that she better stop because I might be sitting across from them at the christmas table, so I suspect there were some comments around "who is the little hooker?" LOL)

So... after my response, Cripple backed down and I think meeting the Fockers has been avoided, at least for now. But I am a little concerned we are heading in to relationship territory here. Not sure I am ready/up for that. Anyhoo - happy to recycle until D-Day arrives and I actually have to make a call.

Toodles!

You'd like to what....!?

Some people just don't have the appropriate filters when it comes sharing their bedroom desires...ladies & gentlemen this is the story of the sext that almost made me close-up shop and consider relocating.
In my last post I mentioned how I had experienced a bumpy start with suitor #2 but was willing to try again because I was genuinely interested.
I thought we had the communication thing down with our similar texting styles, sarcastic, funny and cleverly-steamy. I would soon find out I was wrong...
Two weeks ago I received a drunken sext that wasn't my style but was within my safe & sane standards: "I want to f you so hard" (+5 points for being clear and concise). Since we'd only been on two dates and experienced one home run, I promptly received an apology and told suitor #2 not to worry, applauding his ability to admit his error (+10 points - he can stay in the line-up).
Last friday, I was my usual classy & slightly out-of-control self, too busy loving life to notice my phone was full of texts. The next morning I lifted my pounding head off the pillow and excitedly reached for my phone in anticipation of all the clever texts that were waiting for me. You can imagine my shock and dismay when I read the following...
"I WANT TO HURT YOU SEXUALLY"
Ummm....say what now? I put the phone down, rubbed my eyes and checked again. Yep, there it was, I want to hurt you sexually. DELETE. I felt my legs immediately cross as I pulled the covers over my head. This text clearly surpassed my safe&sane standards. I couldn't get the words out of my mind as I remembered I was supposed to see him that evening. I debated my options:
  1. Ignore it because he was drunk;
  2. Politely decline our date for fear of finding out what he meant.

I decided on number two - I can't play dumb. Don't get me wrong, just because my name is Victoria doesn't mean I'm prim & proper - I can do work. I'm a creative person both in and out of the bedroom and I expect the same from my suitors; a line like that is just plain bad, and quite frankly, not ever something I want to be told (and I have a tendency to bite in the bedroom).

I politely stated his text was the reason for me passing on the date. True to form, suitor #2 apologized (expected so only +2), but I was out dancing with Gwen trying to forget. The calls didn't stop and then I received a FB message - he didn't remember what he said (-2 points for the lame excuse). I couldn't let that go and replied to the message, simply stating that as much as I love the compliments, I want to hurt you sexually was certainly not in my sexting lexicon and is nothing short of a turn-off.

Thinking this was truly over and I could focus my energy on the long weekend, I received another text in response to my FB reply: "Seriously, you thought that was a big deal? I would have laughed if you wrote that to me!!" C'mon, he's honnestly telling me I'm over-reacting because someone I've known for two weeks told me they wanted to demolish my downtown?

Additional point deduction: -5 points for not admitting he was in the wrong, minus another 10 for attempting to pass the blame onto me, and removal from the line-up for thinking that this was going to get him back to my place for another shirts & skins party.

No Likey!

UPDATE ( approximately 2 hours later)

I decided the best thing for me to do would be to take my frustration and disbelief out on the treadmill, Ridin Dirty with Chamillionaire. But, upon my return I found another text on my phone: It's unfortunate you feel this way - I really liked you...

Umm, yes it's for the best; never in this game will I ever choose a guy over the safety of my perfectly landscaped downtown.

Week 5 standings

Afternoon sports fans! its been another busy week for the SOS girls with a whopping 122 points added to the scoreboard. Here's how it went down...

  • Pamela still in the lead with 110 points, but there is some stiff competition creeping up on her... now that she's kicked the Czech to the curb, could this be her last week at the top folks?
  • Monica continues with Mr Beer this weekend and added some points to her recycling. That and some steady assists has her jumping to 73 points!
  • Not to be outdone, Chelsea also racked up some numbers this week with a rematch and some on base action. This has her leap frogging over Victoria to take 3rd spot with 56 points.
  • Victoria took her show on the road and engaged in some digit distribution that has landed her at a total of 55 points. Nice work!
  • At 46 points, next up is our fair Brooke, who went green this week and recycled. Way to take care of the environment hot stuff!
  • WATCH OUT - our biggest jump of the week is none other than Cassie (yours truly) who dug deep to score her first HR + some extra innings points, earning her 32 points!
  • Our fair Gwen has been a quiet Becker lately (so unlike her!). She remains at 23 points.
  • Alex and Jemma - ladies - you best be pimping out your number or assisting your sisters... we need to get you on the board!! For now, they both remain at 0 points.

Stay tuned - I have a feeling this next week is going to be a good one!

Just put a nicer pair of shoes on this picture

I’m no longer recycling, and for now will only be taking out the trash.

I met up with Czech Please briefly after work last week, which was fine. After a crazy mad dash of an exit since I wasn’t feeling so well, I didn’t expect to hear from him again. And I was okay with that. But I did, and we made plans to hang out last night. I was very careful to mention how busy my weekend was, and that I had plans all day Sunday and so we would be looking at an after dinner meeting and suggested we could just rent a movie (read: no activities beyond a movie as background noise, and certainly no meal). His English seems pretty good aside from some crap spelling in his texts, but something keeps getting lost in translation, as he called me and texted me a couple of times yesterday in the morning asking ‘what our plans are for the day?’ I was out so didn’t get this nonsense until later on in the afternoon, which did not make me happy. So I replied that I was busy and that our plans were actually for that evening, and since he had already annoyed me far too much at this point, I bailed.
He wasn’t impressed.
I didn’t care.
Sorry, correct that: DON’T care. And didn’t text him back. Instead, I cracked a family sized chocolate bar and settled in on the couch to watch a movie, loving life and wishing I had some ice cream to serve as a chaser.

I would be quite surprised if I ever heard from him again, and frankly I hope that I don’t. Now we’ll just keep our fingers crossed that I don’t run into him around this fine city, and if I do, that I am not too drunk to recognize him. Disgruntled past Dalliances can be such a cock-block.
Wondering who doesn't just love the magical union of peppermint and chocolate,
Pam
UPDATE: I finished this maybe about 20 minutes ago. And my phone just rang. It is during the middle of the day on a workday. It was CP. I ignored it and he left a message. I can't even bring myself to listen to it. Seriously? I feel gross.
